PDA Cases
 |
PDA cases exist to protect PDAs from harm. While most PDAs come with a rudimentary PDA case consisting of a piece or rubber that extends over the screen, many people prefer to purchase a better PDA case.
PDA cases tend to fall into two categories-hard or soft, which may also be looked at as functional versus stylish. While the two categories do overlap, a metal clamshell PDA case is undoubtedly better at protecting a PDA than a PDA case made of leather or neoprene.
Leather PDA cases are quite useful for the professional, though, despite their lack of protection. A leather PDA case usually integrates the PDA into a personal information system. Credit card slots are provided, as well as a holder for a pen/stylus.
Another stylish option is Neoprene. These PDA cases fit around the PDA like a sleeve, and offer the benefit of surrounding the PDA while adding very little bulk to the device. |
Hard PDA cases are either made of a hard plastic or metal, and most use a clamshell design. While some designs place the PDA nestled in one half of the clamshell, other designs have the PDA on a free-swinging hinge, leaving both sides of the PDA case free for extra styluses, memory chips and guidelines for PDA writing or maintenance.
