What is the best PDA? Companies such as Sony and Palm claim that their company produces the best PDA, and the Blackberry is touted as the best PDA as well. How does one decide?

One thing to realize is that the best PDA varies from person to person. Features vary from PDA to PDA, and a program that might make one PDA the best PDA for one person may cause someone else to choose a different product.

Keyboards are an example of such a feature. The miniature keyboard on the Blackberry, as well as other PDAs, seem to catapualt the PDAs into "best PDA" territory, due to the ability to type in PDA word processors. However, the miniaturized keyboard may prove to be a problem to other users, as the small size works against actual typing, favoring the "hunt and peck" method instead.

Internet connectivity is another, and all the best PDAs have Wi-Fi capability. Word processors and spreadsheets are another trademark of the best PDAs, as well as several high-end games.

One of the most common traits of the best PDAs is the ability to multitask. Combinations of PDAs and cell phones are seen frequently, as are PDA-GPS combinations.

Consumers would do well to read PDA reviews in magazines such as Consumer Reports to determine which is the best PDA for them.
